Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Laetitia Casta to be the face of the CHANEL 2013 Spring-Summer eyewear collection.
The elegant and understated campaign is composed of seven black and white visuals. In them the designer has exalted the French actress with a halo of light amidst a composition of transparent and reflective materials. The line is strict and purified.
This season, Karl Lagerfeld reinterprets the House codes on the frames of both the optical and sun glasses. The temples have become a precious set of jewels with scrolls of metal lace that conceal a clover, a double C and a camellia on a butterfly shape frame, enhancing the emblematic quilting that covers the temple tips of the optical models. The pearl and the chain highlight the eyebrow line on the butterfly and cat’s eye sunglasses with the most feminine allure.
In a more sagacious version, the metal is combined with urban frames in square, oval or rectangular shapes on both the optical glasses and sunglasses.
