Nella cornice del fuorisalone 2012, al museo della scienza e della tecnica di Milano, viene presentato “May I Introduce You volume 2“, la guida  ai talenti creativi curato da Ginevra Elkann e realizzato in collaborazione con Giuseppe Stefanel. Il progetto di ricerca iniziato nel 2010 che ha permesso a Ginevra Elkann, di continuare nella sua esplorazione fra arte e industria, design e cucina, con l’intento di dimostrare che la creativà è ovunque e che solo il “pensiero creativo” può generare innovazione e futuro. La creatività e’ contaminazione e bisogna permettere che la propria visione sia contaminata. 25 persone, provenienti da mondi diversi, fra artisti, registi, scrittori, stilisti, fotografi, si “raccontano” attraverso disegni   al fine di poter  eprimere la loro creatività ed esprimere se stessi.

Il libro edito da Electa, sarà in libreria già in questi giorni.

The “May I Introduce You volume 2” was presented at the Science and Technical Museum in Milan, the guide for creative talents taken care of by Ginevra Elkann and created with the collaboration of Giuseppe Stefanel. The research project which was started in 2012, has given Ginevra Elkann the posibility of continuing her search amongst art and industry, design and cuisine, with the intention of proving that creativity is everywhere we look and that only the “creative mond” can generate innovation and our future. Creativity is a contamination and we must allow for our own mind to be contaminated. 25 people from all over the world; artists, directors, writers, stylists and photographers “tell” a story through their paintings, a way of expressing their creativity and themselves. Some photos taken from “May I Introduce You volume 2” were displayed.
The book, published by Electa, will be in the bookshops in the next couple of days.

Paola Frani ha aperto le porte a tutti coloro che hanno voluto mettersi in gioco, esprimere in maniera libera la propria creatività, una bellissima occasione per provare anche solo per qualche ora a sentirsi dei veri e propri stylist. Uno showroom colmo di vestiti e accessori, ognuno di noi ha avuto la possibilità di scegliere cio’ che ci piaceva di piu’ per poi fare indossare alla modella l’outfit completo; stile “garcons”, Parigi anni ’20, una donna alla quale piace giocare e provocare, una donna decisa, che non ha bisogno di niente e sa perfettamente cosa vuole; questo il mio mood. Paola Frani opened the doors to all those who want to try out the game, express their creativity freely. A wonderful occasion to try, even if only for a few hours, to be a real stylist.  A showroom full to the brim with clothes and accessories, and each one of us had the opportunity of choosing whatever we liked and then have it worn by the model; “garcons” style, 1920’s Paris, a woman who likes to play and provoke, a decisive woman who needs nothing and knows exactly what she wants; this is my mood. ULTRABODY 208 works from art to design

Il Castello Sforzesco di Milano ospita ULTRABODY. 208 opere tra Arte e Design, una mostra tematica, dedicata all’influenza che il corpo umano ha esercitato nella creatività contemporanea, spaziando tra l’arte e il design, ma anche tra l’architettura, l’arredamento, le arti applicate, la moda e i gioielli.
L’iniziativa, curata da Beppe Finessi, presenta nelle Sale Viscontee del Castello Sforzesco una ricca selezione di lavori realizzati dai più significativi protagonisti della scena internazionale del design e delle arti visive che, a partire dal “corpo”, riescono a coinvolgere altre discipline come l’antropologia, la sociologia, il costume, la società, la tecnologia e l’estetica del nostro tempo.
Il percorso espositivo, ideato da Peter Bottazzi, è organizzato in tre grandi gruppi tematici corrispondenti ai tre ambienti delle Sale Viscontee del Castello Sforzesco.
I locali della mostra hanno pavimento e parte delle pareti rivestite in moquette e tessuto nero.
Le luci sono quasi interamente date dalle immagini in mostra, il luogo fisico viene solamente percepito.
Le 208 cornici digitali contengono immagini, filmati, suoni e sono sospese a diverse altezze all’interno di 208 colonne di tessuto nero trasparente.
Il luogo è invaso e filtrato da queste presenze immateriali e luminose, diverse opere sono sospese all’interno delle colonne di tessuto.

Milan’s Sforza Castle hosts ULTRABODY. 208 works from Art to Design, a thematic exhibition devoted to the influence exerted by the human body on contemporary creativity, ranging from art to design, but also taking in architecture, furniture, the applied arts, fashion and jewellery.
Curated by Beppe Finessi, promoted by the City of Milan Department of Culture, Fashion and Design, brought about together with Peugeot and organised by Civita, the exhibition shows a rich selection of works by leading names on the international design and visual arts scene that, starting from the “body”, manage to involve such other disciplines as contemporary anthropology, sociology, costume, society, technology and aesthetics.
Devised by Peter Bottazzi, the exhibition experience is organised in three macro thematic groups, one in each of the Sforza Castle’s Visconti Rooms.
The walls and floors of the exhibition rooms are covered in black fabric and carpets.
Light comes almost entirely from the images on display, the physical environment is only perceived.
The 208 digital frames, containing images, films, and sounds, are suspended at different heights from within 208 columns of black transparent fabric.
The rooms are flooded and filtered by these intangible and luminous presences; each fabric column contains several works.

Oggi nel punto vendita ufficiale Breil in Corso Vittorio Emanuele a Milano ,in occasione del Salone del Mobile, un evento speciale ed esclusivo; la premiazione ai 3 vincitori che hanno partecipato al concorso internazionale in partnership con Designboom per disegnare l’orologio Breil del futuro:
“MODENA” – designed by Nukumi Shinji – from Japan
“THE FABRIC WATCH” – designed by Inbal Aderka – from Israel
“ENDLESS” – designed by Amelia Rachim – from Italy
Da inizio aprile a fine giugno 2011 i partecipanti hanno inviato le proprie proposte a designboom.com, il celebre sito attivo dal 1999, visto in 190 paesi e che conta oltre 4.000.000 lettori mensili.
Gli iscritti sono stati più di 3.000, tra architetti, designer e artisti, provenienti da oltre 90 paesi.
I progetti dovevano rispettare alcuni criteri, per poter garantire una eventuale messa in produzione degli orologi, ma in generale è stata lasciata ai designer la possibilità di formulare le proposte dando libero sfogo alla creatività.

Today in the Breil store in Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, in occassion of the Furniture Exhibition, a very special and exclusive event; the prize-giving ceremony to the three winners that took part in the International competition Designboom, with the aim of designing the Breil watch of the future:
“MODENA” – designed by Nukumi Shinji – from Japan
“THE FABRIC WATCH” – designed by Inbal Aderka – from Israel
“ENDLESS” – designed by Amelia Rachim – from Italy
From the beginning of April till the end of June 2011, the participants mailed their design sto designboom.com, the famous website active since 1999, seen in 190 countries and which boasts more than 4.000.000 monthly readers.
There were more than 3.000 subscribed, amongst which were artchitects, designers and artists from over 90 countries.  
The projects had to respect certain criterias in order to guarantee a possible production of the watches, but it was generally left up to the designer to formulate their ideas leaving freedom to unleash their creativity.

ENDLESS – Amelia Rachim
Semplice ed elegante, nasce in origine con l’aspetto e le caratteristiche di un gioiello, ma grazie all’esperienza nell’ingegnerizzazione di BREIL si trasforma per accogliere gli elementi essenziali dell’orologio. 
La cassa in vetro trasparente nasconde il movimento e lo scorrere di ore e minuti è scandito da cerchi che orbitano all’interno del quadrante. Un progetto legato al mondo dell’orologio gioiello a cui BREIL si è molto avvicinato con le sue ultime collezioni.

ENDLESS – Amelia Rachim
Simple and elegant, this idea is born from the original concept of a jewel, but thanks to BREIL’s experience, it welcomes the essential features of a watch.

The face which is in glass hides the movement, and the passing of the hours and minutes is articulated by the circles that revolve inside the dialface. It is a project tied into the world of watch-jewel which BREIL has used frequently in its latest collections.

THE FABRIC WATCH – Inbal Aderka
Un prodotto realizzato ispirandosi alla gestualità dell’indosso dell’orologio, così come avviene con un capo di abbigliamento. Il cinturino in tessuto elasticizzato avvolge e veste il polso. Il movimento si svela attraverso lo spessore delle lancette tondeggianti nascoste sotto lo strato di stoffa del quadrante. 
Il prototipo realizzato da BREIL mantiene inalterati i materiali e il concetto di vestibilità, introducendo però due lancette tradizionali e ben visibili per favorire la leggibilità dell’ora.

THE FABRIC WATCH – Inbal Aderka
A product completely inspired by the wearing of a watch, just like we wear clothes. The strap is made from elasticated fabric which warps itself around the wrist. The movement comes about via the thickness of the rounded hands hidden under the sheet of fabric on the face.  
The prototype made by BREIL maintains the materials and concept of wearability, introducing two traditional pointers and clear visible numbers to allow reading the time.

MODENA – Shinji Nukumi
Cronografo con cassa in acciaio rivestita da un guscio in alluminio, quadrante minimal e cinturino in rubber. Un orologio dall’animo maschile e sportivo, ma sempre elegante. 

Modena è un’ interpretazione in chiave moderna del mondo automobilistico degli anni ‘50, in puro stile BREIL.

MODENA – Shinji Nukumi
Steel stopwatch encased in an alluminium case, minimal face and rubber strap. A sporty, masculine watch, but forever elegant.

Modena ia a modern interpretation of the 1950’s automobile world, but in pure BREIL style.

IL PIU GRANDE SPETTACOLO…SIAMO NOI ! @ TEATRO SAN BABILA

“Il più grande spettacolo…siamo noi ! Un viaggio attraverso il mondo dei giovani”: è questo il titolo della pièce che il prossimo 24 aprile alla ore 21 sarà al Teatro San Babila di Milano.
Lo spettacolo è promosso dalle sedi milanesi di Grandi Scuole, centro di preparazione scolastica.
Scopo dell’evento è presentare il difficile ma straordinario percorso delle giovani generazioni attraverso il canto, la musica, la danza e la recitazione. Fra i temi trattati la violenza sulle donne, la droga, l’incapacità di comunicare, la difficoltà di accettarsi, il difficile rapporto con i genitori, nerd vs bulli.
L’incasso sarà devoluto all’Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca su Cancro (AIRC) di Milano.

“We are the biggest show! A journey across the world of the youngsters”: this is the title of the piècewhich will be at Theatre San Babila in Milan on the 24th of April at 9pm.
The show has been approved by the various bases of the Milanese schools Grande Scuole, which is a preparatory school. The aim of the event is to show the difficult yet extraordinary course that the younger generations follow, via song, dance and acting. There are a variety of topics covered such as violence on women, drugs, the impossibility of communication, the difficulty in accepting oneself, the difficult relationship with parents and nerd vs bullies.
The revenue will be donated to the Italian Association of Cancer Research (AIRC) in Milan.

 Il progetto è ideato e curato da Adriana Romeo, con la collaborazione straordinaria di Maria Brivio, di Gianluca Petegna e dei tutor delle sedi milanesi di Grandi Scuole. Le coreografie sono di Matteo Bulfer.
